The Cascades ecoregion is composed of the Cascade Range in Washington and Oregon and contains the headwater tributaries of many coastal cutthroat bearing rivers, including the Skagit, Stillaguamish, Willamette, Umpqua, and Rogue. Mountain peaks above 3, m are distributed throughout the region.   Therefore, the Council adopted management measures that would limit impacts from U.S. ocean and inside fisheries to 10 percent exploitation rate for the following Puget Sound coho stocks in Skagit, Stillaguamish, Snohomish, and Strait of Juan de Fuca.

The Nooksack, Elwha, Dungeness, Skagit, Stillaguamish and Snohomish to the north and Nisqually, Puyallup, Green, Duwamish, Deschutes and Hood Canal river systems to the south were among the rivers most important to the whales for providing the chinook that the critically endangered southern-resident killer whales eat, according to the analysis. Improve accuracy of water-type classifications to ensure steelhead habitats are protected (per WAC ). Improve fish passage at artificial barriers. The colored lines show five different percentiles of water vapor flux at hPa over the same wind direction bins, where is the air density, is the water vapor mixing ratio, and is the wind speed.

All water vapor flux percentiles possess maxima around °–°, with the distribution becoming more peaked for higher water vapor fluxes.
